Deafness.
I was born deaf and were profoundly deaf at first but on while, everyone in my family accept it because that how I was born, I didn't hate it, I like it because it a new adventure for me to do, I went to Jame Wolfe Primary School in Greenwich, It a mainstream and deaf school, It was brilliant for me and I love that school because that was my first school that ever taught me and I felt like "WOW" at my school-work but then, on while, in Jame Wolfe yr4, they decided to have me moved to more oral for deaf school, I dislike it because I felt comfortable in Jame Wolfe but I relied, I need to be more oral so I moved to Meridian School for mainstream school in Greenwich, It was crazy at first because I felt like struggling because I don't know lots of people and I was panicking but I got to learn so I get to know them and learn new things, I like these school but it was madness and both was really helpful to gain me a confident skill and more knowledgeable, I love it but when it get to the end of primary school, It was sad for me because I love being primary but Secondary School was exciting for me because It much bigger and we get to learn more, I moved to Thomas Tallis secondary School, I really was looking forward to it and now, there I am, I won Josh Beazley award by entering my poems and gave out my speeches, It was awesome, I got more higher and higher like a roller-coasters ready to emerged, I was amazed at my skills and thankful to school for teaching, I am in yr10 and that how I am doing so far with my deafness.
D.S.C
D.S.C stand for Deaf Support Centre, It a centre on the top floor in Thomas Tallis, It got rooms like Audiology rooms, B.S.L room, Office, Deaf Studies room etc, I like this centre because the staffs help me a lots and encourage to work harder than before, they have C.S.W ( Communication Support Worker ) where they help us in mainstreams classes, L.S.A ( Learning Support Assistant ), where the staff learn how to support deaf people, Deaf Instructors is people who is fully deaf and teach hearing how to be aware and also, teach deaf as well about history and present, also head of deaf who manage the deaf support centres, our previous head of deaf was Ms. Week who work in D.S.C for many years and I was very close to her because she support me a loads and It was sad when she left, I been with her for 3 years and now, she been replaced by Ms. Djemal who used to work for deaf and now, I like her too because she support me too and help me with how to manage things, there is speech and language therapists who teach deaf how to pronoun words and how to read, it was fantastic because I been taught by Jane Thomas who work in Audiology in NHS, she was brilliant and she know me since I was born, I love her much as she like parts of my family because she been there to sort everything out for me but, in 2011, she left which were very emotional for me because she been there for years of my life, I was hoping to stay in touch with her.
